Hand Stripping Fixtures
Developed in response to your needs, the Atlas Die Hand Stripping Fixture works like a mini-punch press. Parts are inserted against guides, between upper (male) and lower (female) tooling sections. Hand pressure is applied to the top, stripping the part completely. Atlas Die's Hand Stripping Fixture allows a part, or a stack of parts to be stripped in one, quick operation. Any small press could be utilized to make the operation even more automatic.
DESCRIPTION:
The Hand Stripping Fixture base can be constructed
of either maple die board or Lexan of varying thicknesses depending upon
your specific needs. The lower fixture can also be reinforced with a steel
plate for extra strength. CAD/CAM programming and laser cutting are combined
to give you a "computer accurate" tool
that matches your part exactly. The upper section can be fitted with steel
pins or wooden dowels for scrap removal and is fitted with springs for quick
retraction allowing for easy removal of the stripped part. The lower section
is mounted on parallels to eliminate the possibility of jamming caused
by scrap build-up. Each Hand Stripping Fixture layout is cut by the same
laser driven program that created
your specialty die.
FEATURES:
The practical answer to intricate stripping of very small parts, the Hand
Stripping Fixture virtually eliminates the need for hand labor to pick the
scrap from high tolerance dies. Increased production of finished product
can be expected. Compared to hand labor, the Hand Stripping Fixture can be
a profitable addition to your production sequence. Each Hand Stripping Fixture
is custom designed to customer specifications and needs.
Atlas Die is recognized as a leading producer of close tolerance dies to
cut a variety of materials and the tooling that supports those cutting systems.
Atlas Die's engineering staff will be happy to advise you of stripping options
for your next project.
