Waterjet Cutting Services
Our 4 state-of-the-art systems allow us to cut with water
only, for soft to semi-rigid materials such as ejection materials. Or using
abrasives introduced into the water stream, we can cut tile, plastics and
all types of metals up to six inches thick.
Features:
- Materials can be cut with or without abrasives in low (18,000 psi.) or high-pressure (44,000 psi.) mode in five quality levels.
- The 55" by 100" cutting area, allows us to cut small pieces to large sheet or plate products, with precision unparalleled in the industry.
- Our interactive cad software can handle any file format sent, or we can program jobs from dimensional files or blueprints.
- Cutting metals on our system, eliminates the tempering and distortion that can happen when cutting the same materials with a laser or plasma cutting.
- We can hold tolerances on parts with positional accuracy of + or - .002" on any products we cut.
- Atlas Die has invested in this technology to improve or create new products. We currently use it to cut most of our ejection rubber for dies, all of our blanker pushers, carrier and dead plates, and steel parts for our female platform blankers.
- Atlas Die can cut from one prototype to hundreds of pieces. For metal products, this means no fixturing is needed, like machining the same part requires. The edge finish quality means that no further machining is necessary.
