The AAA Embossing Tool, a member of Atlas Die family of tools for the folding carton industry, is designed to make the print to emboss registration easier; saving time and effort as well as eliminating the need for two stage embossing.

DESCRIPTION:
The AAA Embossing Tool set consists of two alignment tools and two micro-adjustment tools. This set of tools is the embossing adjustment system for all future embossing layouts, making the AAA Embossing Tool a valuable one time investment. A Plexiglas template is necessary for each new embossing layout. The Plexiglas template, when used in conjunction with the centering end of the alignment tools, quickly brings all the embossing to the design zero-position. A test impression determines any variations between the printing and the embossing.

The AAA Embossing Tool allows for quick and easy adjustments to compensate for variations due to condition of the paperboard, design of embossing and scoring of the cartons. If the test impression indicates the need for an adjustment, the micro-adjustment tool of the AAA Embossing Tool will dial in the difference to .001". The transfer end of the alignment tools can then duplicate that move to all cavities of the layout. The AAA Embossing Tool also prevents problems associated with removal of embossing plates to adjust spot-up and during reknifing procedures, allowing the plates to be replaced in their exact previous positions.

• The Micro Adjustment Tools allow the embossing plate to be moved by small and accurate increments.
