Posi-Fit System
Posi-Fit Kerf Lock, another of Atlas Die’s patented products, are incorporated into the construction of the steel rule die. They exert pressure on knives at strategic points, to aid in holding knives in place during normal cutting operations.
Features:
- Posi-Fit adds pressure to aid the normal friction holding power of any base material used in the die.
- Its use is important on short pieces of rule, where minimal friction holding power is available, as well as on long pieces of rule that could rock out of position.
- The device is constructed of a memory retaining plastic, so those knives can be removed and replaced, without destroying the holding ability in the die.
- It can be used at strategic locations only, where potential problems may occur.
- All of Atlas Die’s programmers are trained to look for potential problem locations, and to make suggestions when applicable.
- Kerf Locks work well with die inserts (removable die shapes), to add holding power to the die block and dieboard.
