Gamma Dies
The Gamma DieŽ, a member of the Atlas Die family of tools for the folding
carton industry, is a lightweight, dimensionally stable die with the same exacting
tolerances as a premium bonded steel die. Accuracy is maintained because the
die base material is not influenced by fluctuations in temperature or humidity.
Besides durability and stability, GammaŽ dies have been known to weigh only
one third of the weight of a comparable Bonded Die. This light weight feature
allows for ease in both handling and storage. Although light in actual weight
the GammaŽ die is not a "lightweight" when it comes to production
demands. During Beta testing at several sites, the GammaŽ die has been
shown to be reliable for over 15 million impressions.
DESCRIPTION:
The Gamma DieŽ is manufactured under license by Atlas Die using a uniquely
formulated space age core material and outer skin developed especially to meet
Atlas Die's rigorous specifications. Gamma DieŽ is dimensionally stable and
it is compatible with steel counterplates. The durable die base material lasts
through multiple reknifes and resists the crushing pressure of the press. Gamma
DieŽ is manufactured using sophisticated Atlas CAD/CAM computer driven
lasers to insure an accurate, custom made tool that is compatible with other
Atlas Die tooling.
FEATURES:
Because of the die composition, the Gamma DieŽ is impervious to fluctuations
in temperature and humidity. This makes it a dimensionally stable tool regardless
of the manufacturing environment or materials to be converted.
The lighter weight requires fewer people for installation or movement of the
Gamma DieŽ. This makes it not only easier to store, but also reduces the
chance of lifting related injuries.
